How to get FREE images for your blog

Being a blogger, it can be quite difficult to find great quality free high-resolution photographs. And a few weeks ago I came across unsplash.com. "Free (do whatever you want) hi-res photos". So I signed up, hey who wouldn't! Free images, even if I don't always use them all, at least I have the option.

Every 10 days an email appears in my inbox with 10 beautiful high quality images available for me to use or I can search through the catalogue available on the website https://unsplash.com/ and see what else they have in stock.

Unsplash allows you to review images, like them by clicking the heart, adding to your personal 'collection' or existing collections and downloading for use. There's also an option to help UnSplash with a tagging programme and help other users locate the exact photograph they are looking for. I follow unsplash on twitter @unsplash, but they are also on all the usual image based social media channels, Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram.

Collections

There is a handy collections tab, which allows you to view existing collections, or create your own.

Submitting a Photograph

Yep, you guessed it, there is also an option for this as well, if you are a budding photographer and want to share your images, then simply click the submit button.

Unsplash Image Licence

Of course, like all websites, there are rules and regulations, here are unsplash's rules or click here to find out more. Check out their super helpful FAQ's as well.

All photos published on Unsplash are licensed under Creative Commons Zero which means you can copy, modify, distribute and use the photos for free, including commercial purposes, without asking permission from or providing attribution to the photographer or Unsplash.

Downloading Images

It's super easy to download photographs from unSplash, here's one I did earlier
